Sun, sand and sailing on Lake Huron

Sun, sand and sailing on Lake Huron

Gabby started sailing when she was in the 5th grade. As she entered high school, her family purchased their first sailboat in Caseville, located in the thumb of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. After a complete restoration, they named their boat Drama and were set to sail. Almost. For the first year with Drama, Gabby was the only one who knew how to sail! Since then, they've gone on to race locally and nationally with Gabby's dad as a part of the crew.

Their family has a love for the little town where they are docked that goes well beyond sailing. After spending a beautiful day with them in the sun, on the sand, and sailing; we can see why. Thanks for letting us be a part of the crew!

While some things have changed (Izzi's parents no longer enforce an 11:30 p.m. curfew and Emil now eats some vegetables), other things haven't, including the bonfires they host each summer for friends. Despite being busy with wedding planning and renovating their new house in Lapeer, the two still managed to squeeze one in this August and used the event as a backdrop for their engagement photos.
